Board of Trustees

 
     Purpose:  The Board of Trustees supervises, oversees, and cares for all the real property owned by Saint Marys Church.
 
     Meetings:  1st Tuesday in Conference Room
 
     Chair:  Pat Winn
  
     Projects:  Upgrade of technological resources; care and maintenance of property.
 

Church Council

 
     Purpose: The Church Council provides for planning and implementing a program of nurture, outreach, witness, and resources for the church.
 
     Meetings: 2nd Monday of each month @ 7:30 in Bailey Hall
 
     Chair:  Jim Lomis
 

Communications & Technology Committee

 
     Purpose: 
 
     Meetings:  4th Tuesday each month in the Conference Room @ 7:00p.
 
     Chair:  Jeff Nihiser

          Advertising--We will help advertise your activity to the church and/or the community.
 
          Audio/Visual Cart--We are working on having an A/V Cart available to assist in teaching, training or presentation purposes.   To schedule the cart please contact ... (information to come).
 
          Sound System--We are always looking for those interested in being trained to operate the sound system and get on the schedule.

Education Team

 
     Purpose: The Education Team organizes and supervises the total educational program for nurturing faith, building Christian community, and equipping people of all ages for ministry in daily life through small groups.
 
     Coordinator:  Toni Hoylman
 
     Projects:  Creation of new Sunday School classes; creation of small group studies each spring and fall. 
   
 

Evangelism Team

 
     Purpose:  The Evangelism Team is the group which has oversight in ministries which empower the congregation to make disciples for Jesus Christ.
 
     Representative:  Bob Deen
 

Finance Committee

 
     Purpose:  The Finance Committee develops and implements plans that will raise sufficient income to meet the budget adopted by the Church Council, so that the congregation's ministry and mission may be adequately funded.

Kitchen Committee

 
     Purpose:  The Kitchen Committee oversees the kitchen in Bailey Hall, assessing its needs and obtaining and organizing supplies.

Library Resource Center Committee

 
     Purpose:  The Library Resource Center provides materials for Christian education and for personal edification.

Worship Committee

 
     Purpose:  We strive to make sure all aspects of our worship services are welcoming, all inclusive and informative.
 
     Meetings:  We meet about once a month to discuss the needs of the upcoming seasonal services, such as Advent and Lent.

     Projects: ALTER FLOWERS:  We offer members of the congregation an opportunity to place flowers on the alter for Sunday services.  Signup chart is in the office.
 
                     ACOLYTES: We offer children an opportunity to participate in the worship service through our acolyte program.
 
     We review what works and what needs to be changed.  We pray before and after each meeting.  We want everyone who wants to take part in the services to get the chance to serve.
