Who Are UMs?

 

This website is dedicated to the St. Marys United Methodist Church but this page shows our link or "connection" to THE United Methodist Church and it's presence and service across our state, our nation and the world.  Because of these links through other bodies of the church we call ourselves a "connectional" church.  This method of organization enables all UMC members to connect to all other areas of the church enabling all members to participate at all levels in varying degrees of support and/or service.  

 

 

     The UMC has a very large presence in the state of Georgia so the state has been divided into a North Georgia Conference and our South Georgia  Conference.  This conference further divided into districts of which we are a part of the Waycross District.

 

     The United States is divided into jurisdictions and we are part of the Southeastern Jurisdiction.

 

 

 

     This website contains just about everything that is The United Methodist Church.  All it's agencies, boards, and other service and administrative connections.
