Cruisin’ Through the Decades
We’ll be Cruisin’ Through the Decades with Rick Davis on Saturday, February 24th in Bailey Hall. The fun begins at 6:15pm with a Meet & Greet followed by dinner at 6:30pm. Rick Davis, will be performing top songs of past decades. Dust off those penny loafers, saddle oxfords, and go-go boots and come dressed in clothing from your favorite decade from the Roaring 20’s to the 90’s. (Optional) There will be prizes for the best costumes. Tickets are $15 and are available at the Welcome Desk in the narthex, from Peggy Shoemaker, or at the church office. Childcare will be provided. Chancel Choir Practice
Our Chancel Choir has begun rehearsing for our upcoming Easter Cantata, “Who Is This King?”. We invite you to come sing with us as we lift up our hearts and voices to the Risen King! Rehearsals are each Wednesday from 6:30-7:30pm. If you have any questions contact Nadia Chonko at 404-200-0659.
St. Marys UMC Orientation Class
An Orientation Class, led by Tom Jones, will be held on Saturday, February 24th, from 9 – 11amin the Conference Room. The class is open to all and will provide an opportunity to meet with Tom and the program staff to learn more about United Methodist history, beliefs, and the ministries of the church. A nursery will be provided. Please contact the church office to let us know if you plan to attend and if you will need childcare.
Brass Ensemble
Chuck Fulton has assembled a brass ensemble to perform “Christ the Lord is Risen Today” on Easter Sunday. We currently are a group of 5. If you, or someone you know, plays a brass instrument and are interested in being a part of this ensemble, please join us each Tuesday at 7:00pm in the sanctuary. This invitation is extended to everyone of all skill levels and ages and is hoped to create a joyful noise to celebrate our Lord’s Resurrection and victory over death.

 
Thursday Weekly Basketball
The Recreation Committee invites everyone to come play pick-up basketball each Thursday at 6:00 pm at WECC 89.3 FM Radio Station’s basketball court. Contact Cal Lang at calvinlangjr@gmail.com for more information.

Sunday School Classes
Sunday School Classes are available for children, youth, and adults, beginning at 8:45am. You are invited to visit a class or two and find your place in Sunday School. A full description of all the classes is available at the Welcome Desk.
Ongoing Children’s Activities (nursery is available for all activities)
  • Sundays – Children of all ages are invited to attend one of our graded Sunday School Classes at 8:45am; Children’s Church is for children 4years – 5th grade. Children start in the sanctuary with their parents and after a short message during the worship ser- vice, are directed to 2 different classes based on age for a Bible lesson and various activities; “God Squad for 5th Graders” – 5th Graders meet for various activities just for them each Sunday at 4:00pm.
  • Wednesdays at 5:30pm – Children’s Choirs Rehearsals – “Music Time” for 3 year old – K, “Music Makers” for 1st – 3rd grades, “Young Musicians” for 4th – 6th grades.
  • Wednesdays also bring Playhouse Kids for children 3 years – 1st grade time to enjoy learning about the Bible and making new friends. There is also Clue’s Club for chil- dren in 2nd – 5th grade to spend time together “investigating” the Bible through vari- ous enrichment activities. Both activities begin at 6:15pm.
Radio Ministry
Our church is sponsoring “The Man in the Mirror” Radio Minute. It airs Monday thru Friday at 6:40am on The Lighthouse, 89.3FM. The radio minutes will offer life-changing insights from God’s word, with practical solutions for the unique issues and challenges facing men every day. We hope you will be listening!

Children’s Musical
We are excited about our upcoming Children’s Musical, “Gr-r-owing Up in God.” This is a great opportunity for your child to come and grow in their relationship with God through the gift of music and drama! Eucharist Ministry
The Eucharist Ministry’s mission is to serve communion to parish- ioners who are homebound or unable to attend worship on Communion Sunday. Our next visits are scheduled for Sunday, March 4th. If there is someone you know who may wish to participate in the “in-home” Holy Communion service, please contact Larry/ Anne Newton at 912-576-1579 or call the church office at 912-882-5505.
Helping Hands Food Panty
The shelves at our food pantry are especially low on the following food items: all soups, jelly, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, mac and cheese, canned chicken and tuna, peanut butter, grits, cereal, peas, corn, green beans, chicken/beef broth, and 1 pound bags of rice. Donations may be left in the narthex on Sunday, at the church office each weekday, or at the Food Pantry Monday – Thursday before 11:30am (103 W. Church Street). Homebound Ministry
The Homebound and Shut-in Committee is looking for a few (or more) good men and women who would be interested in making calls and visitations to our folks who would enjoy our reaching out to them while they are homebound and not attending our worship services. If you are interested in being a part of this ministry, please call Tricia at the church office (912) 882-5505. Your name and contact number will be passed on to Chris Thomas, who will follow up with you. We will have a meeting in the near future to discuss our plans and how to meet our folks’ needs.
